Promec Corporate Offices

Eager to move into their own offices, Promec purchased a building on Île-Perrot previously occupied by a motorboat dealership.

The 10,000 sq.ft., 2-storey, square-shaped building offered little light in its centre. MRA a+d chose to locate the executive offices on the periphery. The installation of glass partitions along the corridors helped bring natural light into the heart of the building where the reception is located.

The double height of the part formerly dedicated to a showroom allowed the extension of the existing mezzanine transforming it into a floor thus providing the required area for all of Promec's workspaces.

The company's activities in the mining and forestry industry guided the conceptual approach. Thus, the finishes have been selected and shaped to recall the character of raw materials from nature. The bracing of the upstairs structure was intentionally left exposed to be skilfully integrated into the layout of the office space of the open area.
